Not much stitching at the moment!! The weather is really too lovely and the sun is shining too bright so I really want to spend the most of my free time outside on the lake or in the garden !!

But I want to make an inventory of my stitching smalls I stitched and I got in exchanges. I really have a great preference for stitching smalls, and after I showed you my pin cushion collection http://romyaustria.over-blog.com/article-6757986.html here's my needle case collection so far!

Hope everybody has the same wonderful summer and enjoys it!!!

This weekend I found some time to finish the summer sampler by Chessie & Me. It really was a fun and fast stitching. I like the look of over two, over one and specialty stitches like French Knotes, Satin Stitches, Four Sided Stitches and some more. It's stitched on 32 count linen with DMC and Old Willow Design Threads.

Now I have to decied what to stitch next. I'm really in the mood to start another little house. Let's see ??!!

Here are some close ups of the summe house!

Now it's summer time and I thought it would be nice to start a little summer stitching. I choose the Summer Sampler by Chessie&Me. It's a nice and funny stitching. Most of the design is stitched in cross stitch and smyrna cross stitch. There are little parts of satin stitch and one over one cross stitch. So there is everything I like on a design.

Maybe you are familir with this, the design calls for some speciality threads and I have tons of silk and overdied threads but never the threads the deisgn calls for.

First I thought I have to order the threads, but when I looked through my stash I found some Old Willow Stitcher Threads which I really liked for this Summer House. My Summer Sampler now will look quite different, but I'm really pleased how it comes along. Here's my progress so far:

Now I finished all the over two stitching on House on The Holly Hock Hill by Ewe&Eye&Friends, now I really like how it came along. But there is a great part of the one over one stitching left over!!

I'll finish the verse, which is over one on 36 count linen slowly step by step and letter for letter when my eyes are in a good mood :-)!!

But now I'm sure I'll finish it!

Finally I found some time to finish my "In The Pink" by Ewe&Eye&Friends.I got some suggestions how to finish it ( Thank you for this, I really love your commends ).

Now I finished it into a pincusion and here's the front

On the back I sewed two little pockets and I stitched some spots with the left over threads on them. I got the perfect fabric for finishing the back from Jodie some time ago! Thank you so much  Jodie!!!!

And now I have a pincushion where I can put my scissor and my needlecase into!! I'm really happy with it!

I was participating in several exchanges some time ago. It always was a lot of fun to get in contact to other stitchers and I also learned a lot in this exchanges. Not only I met new stitching friends, I also learned a lot of different finishing only looking on the beautiful exchange pieces I got in return.

Here are some of the pieces I stitched for exchanges.

Here´s my progress on the House on the Holly Hock Hill so far. Now I really like it how it comes along. I want to thank all the stitchers who encouraged me to continue stitching.

I´m only a little nervous how to manage the lot of one over one stitching on 36 count for the vers. But slow but sure it will work.

I always was fascinated from Merry Cox designs. I never had the chance to take a class, but I always tried to buy this charts on ebay or from friends who took the classes. So I got a nice collection of Merry Cox charts. I know this charts aren´t easy to finish without taking the class, and I don´t know if I ever will be able to finish them. But I absolutely love them, so I´ll try and give my best :-)!

Unfortunately I only stitched the Birds and Berries needlecase till now back in 2005.

But now I pulled out the Birds and Berries companion pieces, and started stitching the Birds and Berries pincushion. Hopefully soon my new Merry cox piece will be finished.

Slowly it´s time to decide the way of finishing for my EEF In the Pink I just finished ( http://romyaustria.over-blog.com/article-6660293.html )

I think I´ll finish it as a pin cushion. Think that will be a nice piece for my pin cushion collection I got in exchanges and stitched by myself. Here`s my collection so far:

First I have to thank  Su, Vero and Lena-Lou for your motivation to continue stitching on House on the Holly Hock Hill by Ewe&Eye&Friends. First I put it away, maybe not only because I miss counted, also because I wasn´t really sure if I like this design absolutely. Especially I like the gold and brown and earth tones in  EEF designs I stitched. All of them had more muted  colours. This one is really a little different.

But with your motivation, I frogged and now I did a second view and I´ll continue stitching. I made a little more progress and now I´m really happy with it. So thank you!!!

I think stitching without my stitching friends would be half the fun!!

In the mean time I finished Flower Scissor Companion by EEF. I´ll use it for my friendship quilt, as I´m on the EEF roll at the moment, I think an EEF square may not be missing in my quilt.

For the button the chart calls for, I´ll use one of the old cotton buttons I found in my grandmother`s stitching case.
