The picture of my new start I showed you earlier this day is an Ewe&Eye&Friends design again.

It`s House on the Holly Hock Hill by EEF and I started on 36count linen. I really couldn´t resist to start another EEF design. I did a little progress the last days, but when I looked at it this evening I saw :-((( that I miss counted and now this little sheep .......

is on the wrong place. :-(((((

Now I have to frog.........or to stop stitching. I´m not sure if I should continue stitching??? Maybe it´s a sign that I have to take care not to become an official EEF only stitcher?????

Now I´ll go to bed and will make my decision tomorrow!!!

Today I added two more squares to my friendship quilt.

And as promised I took some pictures of my way of finishing this quilt.

First I sew a backstitch border with perl cotton # 12 over 4 threads. I do this border 30 x 4 threads, so the square becomes about 10 cm. I do the same border on the second square (the back)

'Then  I iron a fusible batting on both squares back

And then I finger press the linen and stitch this two pieces together, only through the perl cotton back stitch border

Then I stitch it on the other squares, only through the perl cotton again.

I`m doing this from the back side, I think this way it looks better on the front.

And with this way of finishing my quilt is never and always finished. And I can display my little quilt imidiately and it can grow and grow and maybe when I´ll become old it will become an "adult" quilt :-)!!

And because I really love it, I have to show the back of the quilt also!!

Just I finished In The Pink by Ewe Eye Friends.

I stitched on this little design till it was finished. Now I have to decide which way to chose for finishing. Maybe I`ll make it into a pin pillow or maybe only make an ornament??????

Will think about this!!

Just I finished a new square for my friendship quilt. It`s a part of the LHN design Country Stitcher - City Stitcher. I think it fits perfect to the thema of my quilt.

I`m more than happy that  Annemarie had stolen  :-) the idea for my quilt and Vonna opened a Blog for such friendship squares exchange.  http://fairsquaresrules.blogspot.com/

I think that will become a great place to collect some more squares.

Here`s my collection so far but only finished on the computer.

I got some emails from friends, who want to know my way for finishing this squares. I`ll take pictures when I`ll finish the next square.

I think there would be a not so time consuming way, but this squares are really special for me, because they are a great rememberance to my stitching friends, so I chose this way.

Yesterday evening I finished EEF small sampler #8.

I can`t explain why, but in the moment I`m totally  fond of this designs. They are so funny and easy to stitch, and they look somehow special when they are finished.

Have to say, that they look much more beautiful in reality as on the pictures.

I think it´s a perfect design to make some pachtwork ????

They only problem - I never did any patchwork before!!!!!!!!! But I started to play a little with my stitching and with some fabric. Let`s see how this will end :-)   or :-(

One of my goals for May was to continue working on my Friendship Quilt.

http://romyaustria.over-blog.com/article-1035187.html

So I pulled out my squares, and I really love to play with them. I started a new square, it`s a part of the LHN City Stitcher Country Stitcher. I think this design will fit perfectly to a friendship Quilt.

Dimanche 29 avril 7 29 /04 /Avr 07:35

Just I came back from a wonderful golf trainings week in turkey. It really was a wonderful week with great fun and a lot of sport, but no stitching the last time.

But the great colours of nature inspirated me to pick up my stitching again.

So some goals for May:

I want to finish EEF small sampler # 8

I want to finish one ornament for May (wavings to our little one ornament a month SAL)

Maybe I find time to do a little progress on Prairie Schooler Spring Samplers

and I want to continue working on my friendship quilt.

Let`s see how this will work :-)!!

I really did it!!

After my stitching break I did my first new start last weekend.

I started the Little Sampler # 8 by Ewe&Eye&Friends. I really love those little samplers, they look so much more beautiful in reality as on the pictures. They are quick to stitch and look exquisit with some specialty and one over one stitches. And last but not least I love the colors.

By the way, I would love to know if there are other EEF fans out there?? I`m always happy when I find blogs with EEF pictures. And maybe we can start a EEF SAL or something else!!

So please let me know!!!
