Finally my new ordered French books arrived. I really like them. Especially in the Petits Cadeaux Brodes I found a lot if inspirations and new ideas.

Especially I like the Sac été:

And I found some ideas for using linen bands, which I have a lot in my stash:

Slowly my French Book collection is growing and growing.

I can´t read the instructions, but I love viewing the pictures :-)! I had French in school for about one or two years, and I really don´t know why I now can´t understand anything written in French?? If I ever had known that I´ll need French for my love of cross stitch, I really would have taken much more care on my French lessons :-)!

Today we had a wonderful autumn Sunday with bright sunshine!! Perfect for a walking tour to the alpine pastures. There are several mountains and alpine pastures around our little town, so we started to a walking tour and it was really wonderful.
We walked about 20 km, so now I´m a little tired and I´m looking forward to a relaxing Sunday evening with a little stitching :-)!!

Maybe some of you are remembering the free Coeur Romantique by Reflets de Soie which I stitched for a Quilt project in our Sampler RR group. http://romyaustria.over-blog.com/article-492185.html
Nine stitcher are participating. Every of us stitched one heart. Veronica offered to sew a quilt with the hearts. After the quilt will be finished, like in a Lottery, one of the participants will win the finished quilt.
Just I got progress pictures from the quilt. And I thought maybe you want to take a look at them. Didn´t do Veronica a gorgeous job on this quilt?? And it´s so nice from her to offer to sew a quilt for the group. I really would love to learn how to do this. I really love the combination from stitching and quilting.

Just I got the message that my stitching for the freebie exchange in my BB group arrived in US, so I may show a picture.
I stitched for Veronica a little freebie from Fancy Work, the Beeskep Tassel. It´s really a tiny freebie, but I always liked it.
It´s stitched on 32 count sand Belfast linen with Gloriana silks.

I finished all the pockets of the French Sampler Trousse, and I really like how it comes along.

I especially like the combination of cross stitch two over two and cross stitch one over one of the scissors pocket. Isn´t this a cute pocket??

This was really a quick stitching. Now I have to stitch the letter for personalazing on the outside of the trousse. But then will come the finishing part, and I think it will took a little longer :-)!!
After I was viewing all this lovely Merry Garry´s sewing cabin finishes, I wanted to stitch one of her designs too. So I just was on the way to place an online order for one of her designs.
But just I was looking through my stash........and do you know what I found??? Some of the Remember the Ladies kits, which I bought some time ago. I totally forgot about them.

And the best!!! I had the the Merry Gerry Sewing Cabin Milkpaint Sampler in my stash. All kited up :-)!!

So I learned, first looking through my stash - before ordering new charts :-)!! Hopefully I´ll remember on this next time :-)!!
But anyway, I just placed an order for some of the French books. Can´t wait till they will arrive!!
This weekend I finished my piece for the Freebie exchange. I´ll post a picture when it´s arrived in US.
Now I may add a new project to my "actual WIPs". I usually stitch on 4 projects at a time. (And try to forget about all the other started pieces *lol*, so I don´t become to much overwhelmed with all my started projects *lol*)
Currently I stitch on Laurie´s birthday present, on the redwork exchange, on the My Beekeeper and now I thought of maybe a new start, or to add one of my started pieces to my WIPs.
I decided to make some more progress on one of the trousses I bought at the http://www.atelierfeesbrodeuses.fr/ (Look under Trousses
I bought three of them, and slowly it´s really time to finish one of them :-)!!

I have a great collection of antique embroidery which I got from friends and family.
I think I´m the only one who loves needlwork in our family. So fortunately I get all the old embroidery from friends and family they don´t care for. I think you can understand how happy I am about this :-)!!
I just got another old pillow from my aunt. It´s all stitched with tent stitch over one!!!! It´s a little damaged, and the threads are surely faded, but it´s really beautiful. She told me, that it was already antique when she got it about 60 years ago. I think it´s stitched in the 19th century.

Just I got the message that the Prairie Schooler Pinkeep arrived in France. So I may show the back of it :-). I stitched it as a little surprise present for Vero, who helped me so much with silks and linen for a design I wanted to start immediately. I used the remaining material she sent me, to stitch this little gift for her.

How many scissors need an embroideress?? I think, never enough :-)!!
I love scissores, and I´m always looking for special ones. When I go shopping with my 10 years old daughter Marlene, and I look at scissors. She always cries: "Please Mami, no more scissors, you really have enough!!!!!" When I look at my collection, I have to say, maybe it´s quite possible :-)!!
But I love them all!!!!!!!!
