Here it´s totally Winter, a lot of snow and terrible cold, so I need some days with sun on the beach :-)!!!

At the moment I´m totally fond in old stitching books and charts, so I bought some old pattern books on ebay. Today the first arrived. I really like it, there are about 90 pages with alphabetes, borderes and ornaments. Really lovely and useful!
and today I put two more squares to my friendship quilt. Okay, it´s really a mini quilt - but I think four squares are a quilt and now it´s great enough to display it on a little children chair.

I just received a beautiful Italian square, from my dear stitching friend Angela!!
She stitched for me a part of the Workbasket Flower Sampler. It´s perfectly stitched one over one!!!!! and I absloutely love it!!! Thank you Angela!!!!
Yesterday evening I found some time to take a closer look to the French Catalogoue, and I really have to say it was worth the money. It´s really a pleasure viewing all the pictures of the old needlework tools, scissors, buttons, pinkeeps, ................
And I just discovered, that I have a pendant to an ivory needlecase in the book in my collection :-)!!
Today I got another French order. I ordered two new (old looking) scissores and a great catalogue for needlework tools. The book is really interesting for all needlwork tool lovers and collectors.
Just I got my package with the redwork exchange! Once again Tracey was my exchange partner :-)!! Hope she will not become totally tired in stitching for me :-)!!
She stitched a Blackbird Design with Gentle Art Sampler Thread (cherry bark) on 32 ct antique cotton linen and finished it as a little pillow. I love the ABC fabric she used for the finishing. The pillow is embroidered on the front and the back.
She also sent some "extra goodies", floss and a lovely needlecase. I really love what she sent to me!!! Thank you so much Tracey!!!!
Finally my Redwork Exchange arrived in US.
I stitched an Austrian pattern and finished it as a little burse. I´m really happy that it arrived and I hope the recipient will like it.
Now I just remembered that I´ll recieve something in return too :-). As usually I always forget about this!!!

Isn´t it funny to look where all this squares comes from?? So far, 14 stitchers (with me) stitched on this quilt.
I did a little progress on the Sandy Orton English Band Sampler. I really love to stitch on this sampler and I like how it comes along with Vikki Clayton silks.
