Whenever I'm on vacation I love visiting old castles, cloisters, etc. I love viewing the old buildings and I always get a lot of inspirations in colors and shapes for my stitching. I'm storing a lot of old linen on our attic. Mostly old handwoven bed sheets from my grandmother and my great grandmother. This linen is surely more than hundred years old and it's perfect for working old samplers in a higher count on it. Finally my new design the "Queen of Birds" is framed and ready for being published. I'm really happy with the framing I love those "tone on tone" look of the colors. The sampler is stitched on 32 count sand linen with one ply of silk over two linen threads. I just came home from our annual trip to Vienna. Every year I spend a long "girls weekend" with my two daughters in Vienna. I love those days!
